Admission Procedure - Jambo!
Come and join us for two weeks of fun at the African Language Summer Institute. The deadline for submitting your application has been extended. Interested students are encouraged to sumbit their application as soon as possible!
Eligibility Requirements
Up to 20 students are selected to participate in Jambo! The following are the requirements for the application, which you can download if you click here.
- official high school transcript (minimum 2.5 gpa)
- a letter of recommendation from a teacher
- 500-word student essay on one of the following topics:
- Your understanding of Africa
- African languages
- African religions and cultures
- Contemporary Africa
- African kingdoms throughout history
